Bag of Holding

Category: Items

Rarity: Uncommon

Weight: 15 Pounds

Subtype: Wonderous Item

This bag can hold significantly more than it appears! Able to contain up to 500 pounds worth of items, that do not take up more than 64 cubic feet of volume before they are placed inside the bag.

The bag will always weigh 15 pounds, no matter what (if anything) is inside. It requires use of an action to remove anything from the bag during combat.

If something happens to the bag, like it is pierced, torn, or even overloaded, it is destroyed and all of its contents are scattered across the Astral Plane. When the bag is dumped out or turned inside out all of its contents are spilled out of it, they are just as they were when you put them inside. Creatures (up to ten) can be put inside of the bag but only for a short amount of time in minutes (equal to 10 divided by the number of creatures) after that time has passed they begin to suffocate inside of the bag.

If one were to place the bag inside of something like a portable hole, that creates an extradimensional pocket, they become a gate to the Astral Plane. Everything within 10 feet is pulled into the gate and then it closes and can not be reopened.

Bag of Devouring

Category: Items

Rarity: Very Rare

Weight: 0.5 Pounds

Subtype: Wonderous Item

Though similar in appearance to the Bag of Holding, this bag does something quite different. This bag is actually a place to feed an extra-dimensional creature.

The creature that is bound to the bag knows when things are placed inside, and any whole meats or plants placed inside are eaten and lost forever. If some part of a creature enters the bag, like puts a hand in it, there is a 50% chance that they will be pulled into the bag as well. Once pulled inside the bag creatures can attempt a Strength check to try and escape, another creature can attempt to pull them out with a strength check (if they pass the first one and are not pulled into the bag as well.) If any creature begins its turn from within the bag, they are eaten, and their bodies are destroyed.

Objects taking up (at max) 1 foot of space can be stored within the bag, however once a day the bag swallows the objects within it and spits them out in another dimension. (When and What are determined by the DM) This also happens if the bag is pierced, torn, or destroyed.
